Ted Talk Tuesday and life around Central….

Hello folks….here we are in week two and thank you for your patience! My apologies for the technical terror I caused on Sunday. I always make the assumption that technology will work and that is a challenge when I already know nothing about it. Regular Zoom protocol will be in place this week. This is not to say we will give up trying to broadcast live on Youtube to make us accessible to the “whole” world, but I will do a little more investigating. I am sorry that those at home missed a wonderful service of music offered up – it truly is spirit lifting!

Ted Talks this week…

I am sharing a Ted Talk with you that is near and dear to my heart. You may have already heard of Anne Lamott. She is an American writer and I call a modern theologian, who tells it like is, speaks from experience and deep rooted faith and is very relatable. I did get the privilege of seeing her in person a few years ago in Toronto and this talk is very reminiscent of that. I have some of her books if want to borrow them.

12 Truths I learned from life and writing….

…this Sunday we will be celebrating All Saints Day as we remember those souls who have gone before us.

About this Blast
Members and friends of Central United receive this blast periodically throughout the week. At anytime feel free to jump ship if the blasts get too much for you. Hopefully you will stick with us, find the blasts informative and fun. Ultimately, the e-blasts are meant to help keep us connected, provide information locally and beyond in a meaningful way that keeps us engaged with not only OneKing, but the world. Territorial Acknowledgement
Our location on the historic Carrying Place Trail (Weston Road) reminds us that we meet on the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat, Petun, Seneca and, most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit. We hope this ancient path will be a symbol of our desire to walk with Indigenous peoples in a spirit of reconciliation and respect.
