Link for Sunday worship with Central United (October 31st.)and other tidbits…

Happy Friday folks…please find attached the Zoom Link to Sunday worship and fingers crossed it will be what you are accustomed to and you can Zoom in and enjoy the service from the comfort of your home. We are also welcoming people into the sanctuary for the regular 11:00 am service. Please note that masks must be worn at all times. Other than the soloists, there is no singing – but hum until your heart’s content! (…and keep the faith, singing WILL return one day ❤️ )

…this Sunday we will celebrate All Saints Day. This isn’t meant to be a mournful service, but rather a service of gratitude and celebration as we remember all those who have touched our lives. (Halloween costumes are optional but masks are not 😷 )

Scripture for this Sunday is Isaiah 25:6-9 and Revelation 21:1-6 and some beautiful music is being organized!

Central United is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

As you become more comfortable and more people are double vaxxed, you may consider venturing back out to church and here is what will greet you and what you can expect when you come…

Welcome to Central United Church…and thank you for being here!

Our primary goal is to ensure that everyone who comes in and out of our doors and spends time here at Central, is safe. Here is what we are doing and what you can expect when you visit us on a Sunday morning. We do this to ensure that to the best of our ability, everyone follows the same protocol during the pandemic and all are safe.

Thank you for helping to make this possible!

• Attendees enter the church either from the Shoppers Drug Mart entry or the north-east entry or from CKSR.

• Everyone is expected to wear a mask at all times unless speaking or reading from the pulpit or singing a solo at a safe distance at the front of the church.

• Please note that the main doors remain closed to manage traffic.

• Yellow cones on the floor are used to indicate 2 meters between people.

• At the hall where the entries meet, you will find a volunteer who will present you with a Covid Symptom Checklist/questions.

• At this entry point, additional masks are available and hand sanitizer.

• At the next station midway to the sanctuary, another volunteer will take your name and telephone number. This is a tracking list kept on file incase an outbreak should occur.

News from WKNC (Weston King Neighbourhood Centre)

√ Gently used winter coats will be accepted – but only winter coats at this time due to space restrictions.

√ Have you thought about volunteering in the Centre? Tuesday nights packing and handing out meals, other times throughout the week?

√ Your financial contributions are especially helpful right now as we work at trying to re-open for indoor meals before year end.

Here is a link to a Youtube series called the Daily Dose shared by one of our young people – daily messages about living into our faith, made by young people, for young people. Check it out and see what some young people are listening to!

The Daily Dose!

I do not at all understand the mystery of grace – only that it meets us where we are but does not leave us where it found us.
